[Off Topic] 2019 Mazda CX-5 : 250 HP/310 Torque
Well, seems like Mazda has been listening to their customers! Much more so than Mitsubishi.....
They apparently crammed their TURBO 4cyl engine from the CX-9 into this smaller CUV..
Bravo Mazda!!
2.5L Turbo 4-cylinder
250 Horsepower (227 hp with 87 octane)
310 lb-ft (with both 87 or 93 octane, Impressive!)
6-speed Standard automatic transmission

not bad - especially after Subaru killed the Forester XT.
don't know if its worth $10k+ more than an Eclipse Cross - i'd deal with the adequate hp of the EC and put the extra money toward a "fun" car.

I hear ya LandShark!
It was tooo early in the morning, when I posted and hadn't had the time/chance to play with their configurator...
After looking at the prices and some of the options...
Pricing for 2019 CX-5 models is as follows:
I can't see myself coughing up nearly $40,000 (with TT&L) to have this in my garage.

its probably not out of line with what a new Forester XT would cost. if you need an SUV but want some fun and can only have one car, i guess it work to fill that need.
i am under no delusions that my wife's OS is some sort of racecar to be modified to higher levels of performance - its good at what it does at a practical price. *my* cars are for fun, though.
