Question Removing rear view mirror / windshield sensor cover to install dashcam

I am looking to install a dashcam in my 2018 Mitsubishi RVR / Outlander Sport and would like to tap into the power connection from the HomeLink rear view mirror. How do I remove the cover for the rear view mirror / windshield sensor? It feels like you can just gently pry it off, but I am concerned about breaking something. I’ve looked online but can’t find any information.
