Evo X Short Shifter eBay (weird shift angle) DON'T BUY! If you can't weld DM me and I will help you out!
So I everything except the cable bushings. It's nice and crisp but it has a weird angle. The neutral location is where you want the odd gears (1,3,5) to be. And the even gears (2,4,R) is where you expect to be in Neutral to live.
So you need to remove about 4 inches which did. Maybe less if you have short arms. I cut an rewelded it. It has very crisp shifts and required a little of positive focus getting into gears. Not as bad as a Porsche 944 shifting. But feels like a Rod Shifter vs Cable Shifting. A much more deliberate action.
I am willing to cut and weld this for you if you cover the cost of shipping round trip. Really worth the improvement!!!

Do you have info on the shifter bushings? Mine has been sloppy in and out of gear since the day I bought it.

@Side-Swipe It could be one of several bushings. You should replace them all. There are (2) attached to the shifter rod. Then the shifter assembly base has (4) bushings that bolt it to the transmission tunnel. Also (4) bushings in both ends of the 2x cables. Finally (2) more bushings under the hood on the transmission linkage.
Which one are you asking about? The (2) attached to the shifter rod are OEM (and I would call a Mitsubishi dealer for the parts). The rest are aftermarket for best performance...
