April 14th -- Oregon Spring Meet & Drive
Here are the pics as promised. Man, I can still hear all those turbo's spoolin...the silent countryside interrupted by the thundering exhaust of 11 Evo's..
Starting out at Perrin:

Heading out towards Astoria:

Driving in to Astoria to grab some lunch, the weather was still cooperating thankfully.

Heading south after the wonderful pizza lunch..

Four guys had called it a day at this point, so the remainder of us kept going south to get to the EPIC road Migs had found for the way back. Boy was it worth it!!!

Making one final stop to stretch our legs before hitting the last leg home.

I wish the road between my house & work was this scenic & fun!

& finally, driving on 26 back home...

Thanks again Migs!!! Looking forward to the next drive already!

Guys, thanks again for the epic drive. I had so much fun. All of you make up a great group that really show why we all get together in the first place. No horseplay, great drivers, and above all just great people all around.
IMO, this drive was just a great route. I wish the first stop we made actually had Elk. There was about a herd of 50 the weekend before. The waterfall was pretty cool too. But all in all, the amount of corners really set this drive off. As WW-GSR said, it reminds us why we bought these cars in the first place. Sure, we all could DD civics, jettas, mustangs to work. We can lose sight of what makes an Evo an Evo very quickly. If you do forget why you're making payments, take your car out on some back roads and explore. Have fun and keep those Rs up.
I really had fun just hanging out with all of you for the day. I really hope you guys can make the next one.

Agreed! I had to pull some major strings to get that Saturday off for the drive.. I'd come to the cars & coffee meets, but again, Saturday mornings don't work out. Saturday night or week night meet-ups might make it possible for more guys to come out after work, etc..
