Seattle area--transfer case and diff fluid change

So I just picked up my new to me 05 SSL RR Evo yesterday and drove up from Cali.

Seller told me it's due for new fluids in the rear diff and transfer case. I'm in a townhouse and have no usable garage space. Where in/near Seattle could I get it done correctly? I'd love to go to ER ofcourse but it's too far for a relatively minor thing.

Thanks,
Fred

Are they trustable to do it right and with the correct fluids?

^I'd seriously have someone help you DIY. Great learning experience and likely much cheaper. It really is hard to screw this up. I'd recommend tranny as well, since it is pretty much on the same schedule, and I'm assuming you'd be doing oil as well, just because.

I'd be happy to help, but I'm in Monroe, which isn't abundantly close to Seattle.

If you'd really be down to help and you have space that would be awesome. I dont mind drive up there. what days are you off? Tranny was done not too long ago when the clutch was put in.
What all would I need to order from Russel?

They should have changed your T-case and ACD fluid as well when your clutch was installed.

The seller seemed pretty honest and he said they didn't when I was asking about needed maintenance.

Since I'm off today and I have time, I just made an appt to take it to Ishii at 2pm.
Thanks for the help guys. They also said they'd do a free buyers inspection, haha, even though I already bought it. Steve seemed knowledgeable about Evo's. We'lll see how it goes.

Ok, then just call Russell @ Mitsu in Olympia. He'll know what you need and get it to you (provided you are DIY).

Alex, changing the ACD is super easy. You do need two people tho.

One to do the fluid change and one to get Shane bandages to staunch the bleeding.

EvilTechnology , I'm in the same boat as you as far as living conditions. I found that there is a DIY garage in kent caled serf service garage. I'ts great for doing your own oil changes and stuff you could normally do at home but can't because of space/ no grage to work out of.

I'll have to look that up at some point, thanks for the tip. Do you know if they have a press? Looks like, among other things, I need new rear lower control arm bushings. Ishii wanted ~$380 parts/labor/tax. Ouch.

Anyone have an extra passenger side front fender liner and undertray they don't need?

Or the rubber bushings that go under the fan shroud?

There are some things on this car, all fairly minor, that I need to address at some point.

This suspension is retardedly rough. I need to find a set of the coilover springs that originally came with the JIC FLT-A2's. These are upgraded to I think 10k and 12k and it's just brutal around town, much better at speeds above 60. Dampening is set at medium, so I think I'll soften it up a bit. Also, not sure if you guys saw the pictures in the link I had for purchase, but it's way lower than that. Like maybe 1 finger gap. I'm planning to raise it up next week when I have time, hopefully that will help with the ride too.

It looks great as is, but it's too much for a man of my age to daily it this low. So I'll raise it and then contemplate trading the wheels/tires/custom spacers/studs to someone around here.

Dumb question here: The fronts don't rub now because the camber is pretty extreme. Will my camber change as I raise the car? I don't really want to run this much camber on a daily due to tire wear, but I might have to, which would again make me think about trading them for the right wheels. Maybe even nice MR BBS's and some cash.

The wheels are 18x9.5" Enkei NT03's 40mm ET with custom lightweight, hubcentric 22.5mm spacers, with studs. Hancook Evo somethings 265/35. Getting some wear on insides atleast in the front, haven't checked rears yet.

Westworks in Redmond does a lot of routine Evo work and usually have Diaqueen on hand. I've been taking my Evo there for five years. Highly recommended.
