Dirty Girl
I haven't posted much of anything on here but I figured some of you may enjoy this so here it goes. I recently picked up a set of Ohlin Flag series coilovers from forum member FORSAKEN, who was a very nice guy. I also ordered a fresh set of some sticky Star Specs, Perrin PSRS to compliment them in the suspension segment of my car. Moving onto the interior, I picked up my a good friend's (GTiRules) old harness bar and schroth harness setup for the cabin. The suspension was corner balanced and aligned today. All I can say is that I'm eager for upcoming track days and dialing in these coilvers.

I run Ohlins and while not a daily when I drive it around it feels solid on the street. I could survive on them if it were a daily I suspect as they're not harsh. Stiff yes, quite responsive, but not too bad. Except on I5 south of Seattle where the car feels like you're driving on square tires.
I installed them Wednesday night and tried to drive it as least as possible just cause I had no idea what my alignment was at that point and didn't want to risk anything, especially with the brand new tires. But after the corner balance and alignment today I drove around to see how I liked the alignment and the ohlins themselves felt really good. Currently they are set at the softest setting which to me feel very comparable to the dfv's/road & track but a tad stiffer which i'm guessing is from the stiffer springs. To me, I could daily drive these no problem but at the same token I have yet to try them on the full stiff setting. If you would like I can check back in once I start messing around a little with the coilovers and let you know how they are.

Thanks to both of you for the feedback. I am actually in the process of looking for a new suspension setup and was looking into the Ohlin DFV coilovers.
Maybe I can get a ride sometime (at a meet or track?)
I am currently running stock suspension (GSR setup). I have a full-blown girodisc 2-piece rotor (F/R) setup that I am also waiting to put on when I get my hands on a new suspension setup.

You will not be disappointed with the ohlins. The flags series are discontinued but you can still purchase them through some sites. My buddy is also running the dfv setup but with custom valving. I just came from the stock gsr suspension also but it is definitely a big step up. Just out of curiosity ff you weren't to get ohlins what were you thinking about?
