Just got this email from Cliff today.....sorry for the bad news

I am very sorry to announce, but the Kent, Washington Import Face-Off has been canceled due to unforeseen circumstances (delayed track renovations – drag strip surface will not be complete by June 3rd).* Do NOT continue passing out fliers if you have any left.

Unfortunately, this is something we have absolutely no control over.* When IFO comes back to Kent next year, I will contact each of you by email to see if you want to promote again.* If do, your commission pay will be $3 per flier instead of the usual $2 since this one had to be canceled (whether you actually passed out fliers this time or not).* This offer will only be given to promoters of this last event since it was canceled and the fliers passed out were not able to be used."

That sucks! We just had our IFO event here and it was a huge turn out

 

Do you really need two IFO events in the PNW one week apart?

 

Obviously I didn't know this was gonna happen... So yes I do. Just spreading the word.

 

I kinda knew this would happen. They had all f****** winter and early spring to repave. But anything for NHRA, who cares about the locals. I'm sad, and I'm pissed.

Pacific always screws it up

 

yeah tell me about it i kind of gave up on them since last year when every week i try to head out there they cancel the events

 

Pacific grand prix carts limited to four strokes only as well as no Import face off..bremerton raceway running out of money to stay open...no wonder street racing in kent has been on tv the last week. City of Shelton building new raceway park,hopefully we get a nice,well organized and funded track in the area soon!
