I literally live across the street from the police department, thank god not after this saturday. Its about 300 ft and in Jan. my car almost was stolen. Luckily they got scared off and only broke the small rear window and that was that.
I'm pretty sure that the kid who had involvement in it is on this forum actually and I coincidentally inquired about a set of wheels he was selling recently and he came back and PM'd me with some VERY detailed information about where and when he has seen my car so bottom line is I dont trust anyone and certainly wouldnt advertise where I will be
People steal cars everywhere, and yes that is what alarms, kill switches, detachable steering wheels, insurance etc, etc are for but this is almost like an advertisement in my opinion.

If you put into your signature that many car parts and name brands on the internet and expect no one to stalk your Evo even if you live across the street from a police station, you sir, are sadly mistaken.
I just hope you don't have a bunch of those brand stickers on the side of your Evo. That's just folly if you do. Its kind of like: "Steal me! I have these parts on my car!"
So by just your signature, AWD Motorsports is at the following address:
AWD MotorSports
11530 Wiles Rd.
Coral Springs, FL 33076
So therefore, most people would be within a 2-3 hour mile driving radius of that shop. (But then again, it South Florida, not that big of an area.)
Also annotating from the fact that you have a "Corn Fed' logo on your profile, I can also safely state that you are currently running E-85. And by running E-85 you must be reasonably nearby close to an E-85 Station. There are currently 26 stations in South Florida.
So in 15 minutes of searching:
1) You are in South Florida.
2) 2006 GG Evo IX
3) Running E-85 with a possibility of being nearby Fort Lauderdale or Fort Meyers.
Heaven forbid should you have pictures online because if I can do this in 15 minutes, if someone REALLY wanted to steal your car, it would be gone.

Settle down boys.... both have points. To each their own.
06MRV8Killer - Understand that you came into a Pacific Northwest thread and judged the way PNW people choose to socialize, when you are in Florida. Even just posting anythign when you are from Florida makes people question. And I could've found out all the info AznEvoIX said in 5 minutes too, so while you'll get mad at him, he has his points about you posting your own public information in the first place.
It's unfortunate. I do believe that we must not have as much of a problem as people in Florida or Chicago. We have public meets all the time and post when and where on both here AND on Facebook. We are a pretty tight knit Evo community. Everyone knows everyone or knows someone that does.
We have car work get togethers and parties at each others Houses which is way more of an invitation. We invite people and if anything screwy happens, everyone knows.
I've heard of people in the Honda Tech crowd around here be cautious like you. But I'll take pride in how the PNW Evo community is and enjoy it in an open friendship environment until someone local shows me I can't. Then, I'll take care of that problem and enjoy it again.
