Awesome! Can't wait for the season to start. I'm assuming there will be punchcards available at registration, or just track down the girls with white Evos, Tasha and I have cards on hand.

BSCC schedule has been posted, dates were chosen purposefully to be the least conflicting with SCCA for those of us junkies who plan to run in both clubs! Yay!

~ Just a heads up for anyone interested in NWR-SCCA ~

A new class called Intermediate Street Tire just passed! This class will be eligible for a season championship and is NOT subject to indexing.

Intermediate Street Tire: Two Intermediate Street Tire classes will be provided, one Open and one Ladies. Drivers eligible for this class will have less than 2 years of Solo competition experience. Participation will be at the discretion of the Solo Director or Manager. All cars meeting the following requirements will be eligible to compete: vehicles must be licensed and street legal, compete on DOT Street-legal tires with a tread wear rating of 140 or greater, and pass the safety and tech inspection. Times will not be indexed. The year-end champion will not be eligible for this class in subsequent years.

One of our local NW car clubs - Torque Steerers - will be hosting a great autox event weekend on March 23rd and 24th at Emerald Downs in Auburn WA. It'll be a great opportunity to try autox for the first time, or dust off the cobwebs at a convenient close-in venue.

Torque Steerers will be hosting "And They're Off!", and "Photo Finish", Events 1 and 2 of the 2013 WWSCC Championship Series, sponsored by Jim's Detail Shop and Garth Vadar Motorsports. The events will be held at Emerald Downs in Auburn on Saturday March 23rd and Sunday March 24th.

TS is very excited to return to this centrally located site after more than 10 years. We will be using parking lots 9, 10, 11 and 12 (on the north end of the site), giving us a half million square feet in which to play. The lot surface is unsealed asphalt, which provides a consistent, grippy surface.

1. Location
Emerald Downs
2300 Emerald Downs Dr
Auburn, WA

2. Registration
You can pre-register at: http://scorekeeper.wwscc.org/register/ww2013/index

Allowance of double entries will be determined at the day of the event by the event chair based on attendance.

Stock groups will run in the morning for Event 1, and in the afternoon for Event 2.

3. Entry fees

Pre-registered: $30/entry - this site comes at a premium cost so we will be charging a slightly higher entry rate to compensate.
Non-preregistered: $35/entry
TS Weekend Membership: $5
WWSCC driver registration fee/rulebook: $5

Payments by cash or checks will be accepted on-site.

About the Torque Steerers Weekend Membership:
Due to its non-profit tax status, TS requires that all participants be club members. We offer a $5 Weekend Membership, which is valid for the complete weekend (Events 1 and 2.) You will only pay this fee ONCE for the complete weekend.

About the WWSCC Driver Registration Fee:
The Western Washington Sports Car Council collects an annual $5 fee for all participants of the WWSCC Championship Series. This money helps defray the cost of rule books and other administrative costs. You will need to pay this fee ONCE for the whole season.

4. Parking
Paddock parking might be a little cozy and we will have a designated parking area for those of you that are towing. IF YOU ARE TOWING: please send an email to the nwautox email list referencing the event, or post a comment here, to help TS plan accordingly.

5. IMPORTANT: Sound Rules and Information

As you might expect, the location is close to the race horse stables at the Emerald Downs track. The horses do not respond well to loud noises, especially excessive tire squealing noise.

To ensure the safety of the race horses, Emerald Downs reserves the right to shut down the event at any time, and without any prior warning, if the horses become alarmed or get spooked by our activity at the site.

The safety of the horses (in addition to the safety all participants) at the facility is our primary concern.

In order to mitigate this, note the following:
- Do not perform any tire burnouts, squealing, or other loud tire noises in the paddock, pits, access roads, or anywhere in the vicinity of the Emerald Downs site. If you do, you will be asked to leave the site immediately.

- The SCCA sound limit of 100db (at 50ft) will be enforced at this event. We will be sending out more information to the list, but in the interim, please refer to supplemental rule 33 of the NWR-SCCA series for a description of this rule:
http://www.nwr-scca.org/solo/Supps.htm

- Any tire squealing/sound done on-course that is deemed as excessive by the event chair or any of the event officials may be deemed "unsportsmanlike conduct" at this event, and as such, is grounds for disqualification and other sanctions. Please refer to rules 2.5.3 and 3.2.2 of the WWSCC Autoslalom Standards for more information.

We do not expect tire and/or engine noise to be an issue at this event, but we are counting on all attendees to help us with this issue. We cannot overemphasize how important your cooperation on this issue is to the success of this event and the continued use of this site, and we thank you in advance for your observance and help with this.

6. Other Site Rules and Information
- No alcohol or drugs on site at any time during the weekend.
- Leashed pets are allowed on-site.
- No camping or overnight parking.

7. Food and Social Events
We are planning on having a food truck on site for lunch, as well as having a Saturday Night Social event at a restaurant nearby. We will have more information as the time nears.
