1 dead in alleged Eugene street racing crash

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene

Two cars in Eugene may have been racing when one of them struck and killed a pedestrian Tuesday afternoon, officials said, June 9, 2015. (Courtesy, KVAL) EUGENE, Ore. (KOIN) — Two cars in Eugene may have been racing when one of them struck and killed a pedestrian Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
Shortly after 1 p.m., 2 cars were allegedly speed racing while traveling westbound on Mathews Road when one of them lost control and hit a man, Oregon State Police said.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identities of those involved have not been released at this time
