Oregon transmission shops?

Hello everyoneveryone.

I live in the Pacific Northwest out in Central Oregon. The nearest reputable shop for engine builds and tuning is in Portland, however they don't rebuild transmission. My sst is about due for a rebuild and was hoping someone here might know of a place that is capable.

I know the best option is kozmic however that is quite a ways from me and would require shipping the tranny. Is this really my only option, as most shops don't seem to be willing to or knowledgeable enough to do the work.

Were you planning on doing all the removal and installation labor yourself?

In any case, here's another vote for English in the Vancouver area. If you are not familiar, should be well worth whatever logistical hurdle. It's no exaggeration to say they are one of the top Evo specialists in the nation, nice that they happen to be in our backyard.

English built my transmission. Granted it's out of a IX, but you might want to reach out and ask if they rebuild the SST.

Thanks for the advice y'all! Yea I thought English might be a good option but didn't see anything about them doing tranny rebuilds. Probably be a better option than shipping to Texas. Will hit up English, see what they say.
