Precision Dyno EcuTek Tune - WR Round 2
After an eventful drive out to PD's new shop I finally got the oppurtunity to explore the limits of my present setup and the stock cams. The car on the road feels incredible, 1st through 5th the car simply never stops pulling, with the broad TQ band/flat HP curve really apparent on the street. This car is my daily driven setup which will see part time auto-x/road course time this summer.
As the chart reflects, the stock cams are definitely holding me back up up top creating excessive backpressure in the head. My car is also on the stock head studs so both Nick and I agreed to simply dial the car in for a safe consistent power band. With the UNOS/FP WGA my boost curve peaks at 25.5psi and bleeds off to 24psi past 6krpm. As the chart illustrates peak whp hits at around 5krpm and holds flat to redline.
My feeling is that with the summer coming up the 50/50mix while not being ideal will keep my IATs in check to where power will be consistent on sustained pulls.
Id like to give a special thanks to Nick and the entire PD staff for accomadating my crazy schedule, and my navigational miscues on the way out to the shop last night.
Their work reflects their tireless dedication to their customers and I look forward to working with them again in the near future.
My Mod List is as follows:
Injen Intake
FP WR-TME Turbo w/HP WGA
TurboXS FMIC
HKS Downpipe (2.75in)
Perrin Catback/w UR HFC
Forge RS/Unos MBC
SMC Alcohol Kit - 0.7 jet (50/50 Water/Denatured Alky Mix)
