I noticed your location is Shinjuku, spent a week in Tokyo with a Japanese friend back in 1999, went shopping in that area for a camera with my girlfriend (back when cameras had film). Disneyland is right, better than Disneyland because the lines are shorter, would go back tomorrow if I could, loved Japan, thought that it was VERY alive, I liked the movie Lost in Translation because it reminded me of drinking Saki in a "bar for doing business" as my friend described it and roaming the streets of Tokyo. hey guys i'm new to evo world, brought an evo 7 and 12 months ago, only had it a few months and it started to produce a knock, pulled the engine down and found someone had repaired the thrust washer surfaces poorly, currently rebuliding it with new block and a strocker kit..

I have just purchased a 2004 Evo VIII Ralliart and I pick it up next week.
Have wanted to get one for about 10 years and never got around to it.
Until NOW!

Pretty much been researching them heaps over the last year and picked this one up for a pretty decent price, locally.

Will probably source a 4G64 block and put some goodies in it for a street weapon.
Got a mate with a 480whp stagea, so I need to at least give him a run.

Who do you guys recommend for a tuner around Newcastle area, or am I better off going down to Sydney?
I am half way to either, so it doesn't really matter.

Also where is the best place to source the 'heavy' parts from. eg. Block, Head, turbo, Coilovers etc.
I know how to buy stuff from overseas, because I buy a lot of specialist RC car parts from europe and usa all the time.
But a lot of this stuff for the evo is very heavy and freight isn't cheap from the states.

Well I need to find another EVO 8.
Turned out the last one I was going to buy had a few speedo and km issues.
Found out the km's were around double what was on the speedo.

Do NOT want white, yellow or silver..
Must have some mods. ie. not stock.
Must be under 100,000 kms
Can be MR.

I am a Cash buyer and looking to purchase in the next 2 weeks.
I am from Gosford, NSW and may be willing to travel for the "right" car.
