Ipw rpm both zero and timing locked at 61 during crank.
I put in ffff for immobilizer is that right? |
Interesting I have 2 complete factory kits, turbos too

If Claudiumxg was still around, could he chime in to say whether or not this car made boost on overrun? I have a complete DBW setup from a subaru , would that be neat lol..NOT my video. but saying how neat that would be to DBW a evo, and ALS that way! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2OYioFd3Qnc |
Awesome setup!

Congrats on getting your car running on that ROM. As soon as my engine is back together I'll hit up Tephra for a V7 96260009.
1.Have you been able to overrun the injectors? 2.Are you able to open the ALS BPV (factory setup) or are you just plumbing the BPV into the ex. mani.? 3. control timing? I'm sure I'll have more ?s once my car is running again. Laramie |
My car is stationary. Wont know for a little while. Im confused how to setup bpv, and als valve. How do i determine which one opens? Or does the delay let thw cbpv do its job then uses vac canister to open sas valve accordingly ... i keep thinking to run my sas valve as my cbpv and eliminate the cbpv totally. However will the car still stumble correct?
|
I have the jdm setup minus the solenoid and canister so my als bpv is first in line from the tb but I'm not sure if that matters. I would think that the bpv would open till +psi is achieved from the solenoid/vacuum canister holding the als bov open and the injectors. I might be wrong maybe johnbradley will chime in. I would think using the als valve as your bpv would cause compressor surge if you didn't have als activated.
|
All the solenoid does is delay the air bypass so the origina cbpv can do its job and recirc air for the engine not to stumble. Theres a slight delay then the sas opens. I know it doesn't open the sas instantly at this point of looking into the rom settings. There is a delay timer etc.
I do not think you can eliminate the function of the stock cbpv. Just wouldnt make sense. I doubt the rom can account for non recirc set up. Although the stumble may help als function or it may not.. it would drive crappy i think. Could definitely use jb's .02$ |
So there is a delay? I would think that if they opened at the same time or just the als valve opened all of that pressurized air would really help keep the turbo spooled with the addition of fuel. Sounds like one can shift faster than the system activates unless the car was staging.
|
Well the delay is small and just long enough to recirc thw air foe the maf to be happy as i see it. That is how i see it anyways. Or maybe the rom can account foe the maf not recirculating the cbpv, and is able to be activated instantly. Instant may be the case regardless but what stops the cbpv from doing its job simultaneous with the sas? Things we would have to test/operate to know lol..
I will def try to give it a shot on a sd rom using just the pops and bangs method with fuel and eliminate overrun fuel cut if possible .. somethwlime that has been confirmed already to work on evors. |
