Sounds good Tom. Ya my car is a bit of a freak and makes great power. I am making what a std 3586 makes on most cars. Good luck. I would like to see a 3586 break into the 800s. Aaron was soooo close!

That wont happen with his little .63 A/R. Its funny what FP has written on their website about this turbo using a .63 A/R they say:

This 62mm inlet / 86mm exducer HTA™ wheel extends mass flow well beyond 75 lb/min with observed power output in the 730+whp range on well prepared cars. This turbo is available with a variety of turbine housings, but using anything smaller than a .82 is stupid. :lol:

What size does Aaron have?

So if he stays with the .63 i think a good goal would be your numbers.. but i dont see it happening. so the goal will just be to break into 700.

Aaron has a .82a/r housing. I don't think I have actually seen one with a .63 till this car...

This is a AMS turbo kit and AMS sells it in .63 so thats why (what the owner said).

So this guy has a really expensive restricted turbo it seems :lol:

maybe FP will upgrade him to the .82 he already gave it to FP since hes local
to them.

I always had great experience with FP. i killed my turbo twice.. both my fault.. 1st time from the bearing shavings and 2nd the autozone oil LOL. warrantee'd it both times + extended the warranty an extra year. Had a long convo with Brian about the crankcase pressures i was having and did what he recommended and now the cars great and no more issues.. he sure knows his **** and always makes me feel stupid when i talk with him cause its like talking to a turbo scientist lol.

i got a ? for tscompusa, i hear other tuners talking about having AFR at 11.0 during spool and @ pk TQ. then running 12.0 to redline to make the turbo spool faster on E85. have you ever tried this? does it work?

what other tuners? Read this:

loaded base maps on my car had another tuner play with it, found less power mid range.. brought the car back home, added the timing back into it and gained all my power back..

But i documented everything i changed after i swapped out the fmic so read and i have logs there also. {thumbup}

But I found 12.8 to spool the quickest and depends on car and timing what afr it likes. but uptop they all like 11.9+

Dont mean to barge in on your debate, but...

Wouldnt the 15* retard in timing be from being at 25% Throttle and all of a sudden going WOT(99%)... also the cause in rich AFRs for a split second...

Just my .02

Yes, this is what happens when you go from low load to high load, timing drops.

as you know how the ecu/maps work.. its based off RPM and Load (Boost pressure after 100load+)

if you're on the freeway cruising with 20% throttle you're what load? maybe between 40-70 load..

you punch the gas the ecu instantly jumps from the 40-70 cells all the way over to the 100LOAD because 100 Load represents 0 psi (no longer vacuum)..

From there the ECU will trace the rest of the load cells hit and that is that.. You cant say (Oh he retarded timing on spoolup 15* just because someone logs partial cruising to WOT crossover.. sorry it doesn't work like that.

Now if I did a 15deg retard during the spoolup process 0psi+ then yes it would be considered 15deg retard DURING spoolup, but this is not the case.

Every single log on this forum does the same thing from a 20% tps to 100% unless the tuner runs insanes amounts of timing at spoolup.

see the 32 timing on the left? thats the cruise area.. you go WOT it traces over to the new target cell which is the 17* at 100 LOAD.

Also we need to keep in mind evoscan and stock ecu is not as powerful as a standalone that can read 1,000+ lines of data every 1000rpm or so.. so its not going to catch every little detail on logs.. there is an actual trace from the low load to the higher load, but it wont show up in logs because it would require insane hardware to catch it like aem, haltech, etc..
