How does the damping characteristics of this rail compare to the stock rail?

Indy Evo Nov 11, 2009 04:17 AM

03, Without getting too technical the pulse waves have a wider frequency due to the internal shape and increased volume. Also the friction coefficient is dramatically reduced to the top of the injector by radiusing the inlet compared to other OEM and aftermarket rails. This helps the fuel enter the top of the injector without cavitating across a sharp edge, increasing efficiency of the injector and decreasing injector duty cycles.

The next run of rails will be done around the first week of December. These will all be natural hard coated to ensure protection from E85 or Methanol. We will be taking pre orders on 9sec9.com. Thanks. Indy

Save a new one for me. :)

Indy Evo Dec 4, 2009 06:25 PM

Update: All the machine work is finished, the rails have been sent to get hard coated (to protect them from Methanol and E85) this is the only way to properly protect aluminum. Most if not all rails on the market are anodized for appearance, not ours... it's the real deal. Then it's on to lazer engraving, final QC checks, and kits will be shipped the week before Christmas. Only 25 kits were produce and 10 are pre sold, so if you want the best fuel rail built for your Evo look no further. These are a limited production item, your next chance to purchase one will be late 2010.

I'm glad it has worked out well for you {thumbup}. If I remember correctly your IDC's dropped at least 10% with just the rail change. The Pro Mod guys are seeing 12-15% drop in IDC's with the same rail. Thanks again for the support! Indy

I wish there was a version to use with the EV 14 injectors that would get rid of the spacers.

Looks nice. When I get my car back out I may pick one of these up.
