Thanks for taking the time to help us out, will go order the parts at dealer tomorrow. By any chance did you do the hotside install too?

timzcat Aug 1, 2005 09:28 PM

Dealer!
MitsubishiParts.net is a lot cheaper!
No but I've done turbo work and have ordered these parts.
The trick is to buy 4 bolts instead of the 2 studs and 2 bolts at the manifold to hotside. Then if you ever need to take the manifold off it is not such a pain in the ass.

I have to go there today to pick up some oil filters so I plan to bring your nice list and compare pricing.

Besides all the mitsu parts that you recommend for the install, did you need to get any other misc parts during the hotside installs you have done in the past?

Sweet just placed my order at mitsubishiparts.net, a little over $100 in parts.

Just to be sure we're on the same page.. From the attatched photo, what are the numbers for the parts you need?

see that photo is wacky... part 5288 is the rubber grommet that seats to the housing... but theres a plastic "spacer" that clips over the fuel pump nozzle and pushes into that rubber grommet...

Does the plastic spacer come as part of the fuel pump itself?

JustDSM Aug 5, 2005 08:32 AM

Man, it's been SO long since I did my fuel pump I'm not even sure I remember what you're talking about.

Anyway.. Your grommet PN is: MR431121
