Looks like the only thing I'd be worried about this is on a DD there are no coolant nipples on it so the coolant couldn't warm it up so it wouldn't be good on cold starts possibly.

I remove the coolant lines from all my cars TB's.

Zikes!! Thanks for the offer but I really don't want to take the manifold off again if I don't have to. I'll have to take it to my buddies fab shop to see if he can come up with something. If this intake comes off then a V5 will being going back in place of it.
:D

Looks like a nice option. I probably would have went with this with my V5 over the S90 that I got. Where is the SAS?

It's set up just like stock other than the size and it will not accomodate the stock coolant lines.

no nipples for the egr as well.

This works with the stock Tps sensor correct? I didn't see it mentioned anywhere.

I hope so. I never heard MAP mention any need to modify or retrofit anything other than using the supplied adapter with the stock manifold due to the TB being so large.

Looks nice. I have a ported stocker along with the I/m. Is it possible to just port the intake manifold inlet to 70mm? Not sure if there is enough material to do so.

Doesn't look like there is quite enough to port the manifold to a true 70mm. I'm gonna have to just try to smooth the transition as best I can. I think I'm gonna do that after testing it with just the adapter. I would be curious to see what the gains would be for both situations.

You guys that bought this I'm wondering if you have installed it yet and what solutions you came up with for the EGR lines and the UICP. I am using the stock UICP and I don't want some cheap rigged looking coupler or anything. Obviously the Samco coupler I'm using isn't gonna cut it. I wonder if the EGR lines need to be pre throttle plate like on the stock throttle body or of you could tap into another line on the manifold. Thanks for any help.

Is the opening in the intake mani even 70mm to begin with?

No. Not even close. Read the thread.

Any updates on this throttle body? Third party tests? Doesn't leak? Etc...

fast3voviii May 14, 2011 01:08 AM

I run this on my 42r drag evo. I have a stock tb laying around that I could possibly rig up for testing to see what gains are there over stock

Have you leak tested it yet? That's what im most curious about. I remember when the skunk2 throttle bodies came out, they all used a bearing instead of an o-ring which lead to massive boost leaks.
