I'm having a problem too guys.... In 4th and 5th gear, boost stay at where i want it too.. It doesn't fall.. But in 3rd gear it boosts to 20 then falls slowly to 10-15 lbs... Why is this... And at WOT....

arpad Jul 24, 2005 03:05 AM

that's wierd, not sure why it would only do it in 3rd. anybody have any suggestions?

What about this guys??? Should Limiter be [SET-4%] or [4%]? Which one is it really?

arpad Sep 15, 2005 03:13 AM

it's just 4%, but either would work since limiter-4% would just lower the boost more significantly once you hit the warning.

You mean "...either would work since set-4% would..."?

Thanks!

Hey guys I read the write up last night when installing my profec B but didnt read the whole thread. I found the unit to be working good but when I first would go WOT the boost would jump to 15 psi and sit there till I got way high in the RPM range (5500+) and then would go on to 19 psi ...

Well I knew it wasnt 100% as stock the car would jump up to 19psi and then just taper off under WOT ... so today I read the rest of the thread. Like many of you I had the little plastic cap on the other unused port. I pulled it off and things seem to be working like a charm now! I had to readjust my settings as it was now hitting way over 22psi ...

Currently my settings are:

Set 62%
Gain 7%
Set Gain 10%
Warning 21psi
Limiter 4%

Can everyone else post their settings so we can compare ...? Also is it bad to have the Set Gain at 10% ? It seems that everyone says to have it close the the desired max boost ... should I re adjust this?

I lightly tuned an 06 Evo 9 RS today that is running the B-Spec 2 that I installed for him. I kept it really conservative untill we can get his car tuned. The only mods so far is an Injen intake system and of course the boost controller.
Gain: 5%
Set Gain: 1.00 kPa
Set: 50%
Warning: 1.5 kPa
Limiter: 4%

These settings netted a peak of 20psi down low and holding 18psi up top.

problem

guys, i got another problem.....my LO is set properly at 77%, 0.10 x 100 Kpa, with a 5% and it boosts to like 20lbs. without any taper.......but in HIGH mode, i hate like 80%, 0.10 x 100 Kpa, with a 5% gain, and it only boost to 10lbs.....wats wrong?...and does any1 have setting for keeping it at 21lbs. on LO mode, and 23lbs. on HIGH mode.....thanks

hitting higher psi

im only getting 14.7 to 15 psi
what did i do wrong

555R Jul 1, 2006 12:41 PM

someone post a diagram to the vaccum boost line hoookup
do u use the turbo outlet nipple or the bov line
which is better

Guerillah Jul 1, 2006 01:47 PM

I used the BOV line as I heard it is more consistant than the turbo nipple method. I capped off the turbo nipple, put a T in the BOV line.

Guerillah Jul 1, 2006 01:48 PM

Heres a test I did on the pressure output of the head unit btw
