Post Greddy Profec B Spec II Pressure Sensor Test

Hey guys, since im new to this board and recently just bought an EVOIX MR I thought I would contribute something.

I recently bought a greddy profec b spec II off of a coworker which used it in his turbo mr2 (now uses AEM EMS to control boost instead). I work at a company which manufacturers highly accurate pressure gauges/controllers, and flow meters/controllers so I decided to test the pressure readout on the profec on our test bench to see how close or how far off it was so I had a point of reference when using it in my car. It has been used about 1 year on the MR2 so I was interested to see how accurate it was after dealing with all the heat/stress.

Here are the results, actual (left) is our calibrated pressure gauge, indicated (right) is the readout of the profec b. Readings are accurate within +- .05 PSIG at worst. DUT was powered with 12V.

Actual - Indicated
4.29 PSI - 4.20 PSI
9.92 PSI - 9.86 PSI
15.62 PSI - 15.37 PSI
20.48 PSI - 20.30 PSI
25.18 PSI- 25.10 PSI
30.63 PSI - 30.45 PSI

Conclussion: Its pretty accurate even after dealing with all the heat/stress. I would say trust the profec b before you trust any mechanical boost gauge. I'll be getting a autometer boost gauge in next week as well which I can test if anyone likes.

I just got my profec B installed last night and got the boost source off the same line which the factory boost gauge uses and the factory gauge definately reads higher than the profec, about 1psi higher.

As for the DEFI BF you got, I could test it if you sent it to me and paid for shipping to and back but that prolly aint gonna happen =p. That goes for anybody btw, ill test them for free as long as shipping is paid to and back, I can test up to 110PSIG.

Can you test OEM MAP sensors? I use a 3.3 bar MAP sensor from some kind of duramax diesel, logged in DSMlink. ****, probably not since it doesn't have it's own display?
