depends on how heavy your foot is

Where and how did you run the meth line from the trunk to the engine bay. I couldn't tell from the pictures. I've got a kit that I'm getting ready to put in. Thanks.

not to sound like an ass or anything, but I have a feeling you fixed a boost leak when you added the meth. Never seen meth / water injection increase boost on it's own, not even sure how it is possible unless you are spraying it at the compressor wheel, in which case it will effectively give the turbo a compressor map of a bigger turbo... but that also causes premature wear on the compressor wheel.

I suppose given that the X has a charge air temp sensor in the manifold that spraying meth/water could affect the calculated load based on a change in charge air temps but I don't think it would be enough to gain 4psig. Regardless, it sounds like you are running an mbc or ebc since you said you did not change the boost so that blows the whole load change theory out of the water for the sake of the added boost argument.

In short, I think you were either getting a lot of knock retard before the meth/water or you fixed a boost leak while doing the meth/water install or a little of both.

Good number though and not trying to bash or anything, I've just seen enough meth cars on the dyno to know that adding spray does not raise boost.

where exactly did you place the injector nozzle? I can't quite tell from the pic you posted

https://i275.photobucket.com/albums/...k/DSC01020.jpg

reason I'm asking's cos I sometimes have this problem of having to really the crank the car for a lonnngggg time before it starts. I'm thinking its some meth/water seeping out of the nozzle when the car's not running resulting in a small pool of it after not running the car for a while, eg. if I parked overnight somewhere. you got a check valve with your AEM kit? I'm using an AEM kit too. nice fat 5 gallon tank :)

Guys sorry this may be a bit off topic:

I am thinking about adding water/meth this year. I am concerned about how long the supply would last. Could I get a full tank of gas out of it or more? Can I use just water? Again sorry I did not want to start a new thread.

Typically trunk mounted water meth setups use a check valve or electronic solenoid cut off device to prevent the issue you are describing. If you don't have one then I suggest you get one.

Lots of factors in this for every car including size of nozzle, pump PSI and also how / when activated (boost / rpm).

I would say on average though that gallon will last several tanks of gas if this car is a daily driver or 1 full track day

I had no boost leaks. i can assure you that. it did not raise the boost, car still hit 26spi.. just held it better/longer. believe it.

also just recently found out that my manifold was leakingits ass off when the 340whp pull was made... so i fixed that and i am sure the car makes even more power.. now knock.. that is possible. i guess?
