Good choice on the evo... It's kind of odd that nobody has a 05 around here besides mike I think was his name, the one with the MR. I'm sure GNV motorsports, run by a few locals, would be more than happy to help you get any parts you need. I've had good experiences with them so I'm sure they'll hook you up to. Check out their website. Definately stop by on the 23rd for our meet.

Thanks for the info. I will not be able the make the 23rd. I have a Silver 2004 EVO VIII. I drove to Philadelphia and bought it from Brandywine Porsche. I tried to buy a 2005 in Wexford from the Baierl Mitsu dealer...but they were not dealing...a lousy $500 off MSRP...so I was looking at $33,000 for the leather/sun roof package deal. I picked up my 2004 for $27k with only 3100 miles on it. It basically is brand new...and the car has 19" Konig's with Nitto Extreme low profiles on it.

Looks good man. I am suprised that baierl did not give you a deal i got mine for 27k otd before trade in. I think you have a good bit of leverage to work with as the new evo ix will be out in the fall (i believe). But hey let us know how everything goes and let us know if you need parts or just help with getting adjusted to your new car.

qt420hp - you said you ran a 13.72 @ 100.51 quarter bone stock? That seems to be pretty darn good for stock from what I understand. Oh and a question for you. Do you have the stock wheels for you new car? If you're interested in selling them let me know. I'm looking for an extra set.

Based on my 60 foot times...the car should be closer to 13.4's in my opinion. I am used to running low 12's with my Mustangs...so running in the 13's has been very tough on my ego....

I bought the car with 19's. I wish I had the stock 17's. I am too looking for a set of used ones.

In the next month...the mods will be on the car...and I'll be back in the low 12's I hope...

I'll have to see if I can get out on the 23rd, then. I've also met the guy who bought the other MR from South Park Mitsubishi, but I don't think he's on EvoM.

I've been hesitant to drive my Evo on 79 with the construction going on. (Trying to avoid rock chips all over it!)

Thats a good time considering launching an AWD car is different from launching a RWD car. Can't wait for the next meet seems like we get more and more each meet... I love it!

whatsup fellas , is the 23rd locked down now ? im anxious too meet everyone and check their whips out , i should be on my tein s-techs and have my rs*r downpipe on by then , and then u know get the flash , oh and by the way gt420hp thats pretty nice 1/4 mile my best was a 13.65@99mph with a 1.9 , 60ft. but the only thing is im slightly modded not stock, oh and my first attempt with the evo was a 14.3, lol but got my time down considerably i think , with the same setup

So is anyone going to the VGP on sat for the car show? Its in shcenly park. I've seen car show the past two days. They had a big car cruise at the waterfront yesterday. Some very cool cars there. Im feeling alittle lonely trying to represent the evo's around. So if anyone is interested there is a Asian. parking area sponserd by Mazda for the car show. If you need any info as to where just let me kno.
