Im suprised there isnt something around the Monterey area with the race track there, not to mention all the imports I see running around that area- There's also Vishnu in Danville and Works in Sonoma. I haven't dealt with Vishnu but no one on the local Norcal boards had good experiences with them. Same goes for Works but I have bought parts from them and recieved poor poor customer service. Other than that you can try random tuners who post on local boards or search Yelp for local shops 'cause I know I've seen some random small shops who say they can tune an Evo. |
Check out the local evo 8/9/X forum at EvoEmpire.org There's more good feedback there.

+ 1 for Speed Element. I've had 3 cars tuned by them.

FFTEC or GST is your best bet for tuning. WORKS mostly sells packages, so don't expect anything custom and Vishnu is no longer an Evo specialist. The industry changes fast and Vishnu is way behind the curve. |

thats kinda what its looking like im gonna have to do, FFtec is the best choice so far |
sounds like its to late.. but check out grip craft in north highlands
|
i thought they dont have a dyno.
|
The tuner at Gripcraft is a friend of mine, hit them up he's very knowledgeable with cars.
There's a guy on here who also does road tunes from Davis area. I forgot his name but maybe if he sees this he will post up. I don't have any experience with him so I can't really give you info other than that. If you want to go down to the SF Bay Area for a dyno tune there is FFTEC. I had my GST tune touched up there. Great tuner and great shop. Probably your only choice in this area. There's other places but not really worth mention. |
ya FFTEC is my top choice right now, but ill talk to the guy at Gripcraft and see whats up, i kind of wanted it on a dyno though
|
I have been looking into GST also and then i meet a tuner at Midnight Performance in Sac that owns an evo. Although they dont have an AWD dyno yet he street tunes evos.
