hi all.. i unfortunately have to get rid of my car.. financial issues have sprung up and i have to get rid of my car, hopefully without taking too much of a loss..

in any event, i have put an ad in autotrader, and a magazine called news on wheels (local to new orleans and baton rouge, LA)..

does anyone have any suggestions of how to sell my car to someone who can appreciate it for its value and give me a good offer?

here is what my ad says:
03 MITSUBISHI LANCER EVOLUTION VIII, 11K mi, EXC COND, blk/blue, MP3/CD 500W sound, 5speed 4WD, $28,000 BTR

your price is higher than it would cost to go buy a brand new 2004 leftover......... so... if you actually want to sell it, you need to price it appropriately.

 

paid $25k for my 03 with 856 miles on it about 6 months ago.
price it right and it will fly, but you are a little high.
