Looking to trade rims.....

I haven't made up my mind completely yet, but I might be thinking of trading these rims for a set of stock rims someone may have. These are the Privat Fahren which can be found on Discount tire direct. The size is 18x9 with a 20 mm offset. They fit fine with plenty of caliper clearence and they don't stick out any further than stock. The tires would go with the rims, they are the Kumho Ecsta MX's, size 235/40/18 which equals just barely larger diameter than stock (it's like a 1/10 of an incher taller) so the speedo still reads accurately. The entire combo has only about a 1,000 miles on them, no autocrosses or track days on the tires. They look brand new. When I weighed them on the scale, the entire rim and tire package was only 1.5 pounds heavier than the stock wheel and tire package. The entire wheel and tire package new with new lug nuts cost almost $1,700. I am looking for a stock set of 4 rims that are in very good condition, no curb rash or anything like that. If the tires are brand new on the stock rims I would ask for a clean swap and about $300. If the tires on the stock rims are worn I would be looking for about $850. I'm guessing this may fit someone most whose is just about to have to buy new tires soon anyways.

I live in New England and I'd rather keep from shipping these anywhere. I'd rather meet somewhere and swap rims out then. Sorry pictures are not bigger. If you're interested I can send you other pictures of the rims on the car.

I might be interested if we can work out shipping. I have a brand new EVO, only 175 miles on it, so the rims and tires are in perfect shape. I'd want to do a pretty even up trade since these rims and tires sell for so much more. If you have some bigger and better pics, that'd be a big help.

PM'd you. It looks like your about 5 hours-5.5 aways, so 2.5 hours apiece may be doable.

Just so everyone knows, I have not completed a deal with the rims yet, so I still have them. I have had numerous request for larger pictures which I'll send out this afternoon via email. If you want more pictures send me your email address and I'll send the pictures that way. As I noted before I am hoping to not have to ship the rims out but I am open to what people have to offer.

Just so everyone knows, all of the new lug nuts and rim inner center spacer all come with the rims if I swap.

More pictures. How can I make these pictures bigger and still be allowed to post here? It keeps telling me I cannot post a picture bigger then 100 KB but there pictures seem much smaller than what over people post.

Is there no one out there that is looking to get rid of their stock rims for a set of Privat Fahrens 18x9" rims with tires? I'm noticing most stock rim and tire sets are going for under $900 and this entire package goes for over $1,700 new. There's got to be someone out there willing to trade with some cash.

I think I'll put them on ebay if no one here wants them.

Out of curiosity, what made you decide to go back to stock? I also have the Privat Fahrens, same size, but 40mm offset..

Just a bit too much bling for me. Do you have the 8" wide rims with the 40mm offset?
