Another DBB Black Build v2
Another DBB Black Build v2
Update 10/30/13
After a long winter, and many thanks to to guys at Dynotech, the car was put back on the road at the end of May... putting down 433awhp on a Mustang dyno at 29 psi on 93 octane. I was limited by my injector size(850cc) and fuel pump. I have been content with this power for aw hile but am on my way to upgrading fuel(possibly e85) after settling into my new condo. I have updated the mods list, as a lot has changed!
Update 1/7/13
So much for dyno sheets... Found out my head was fubar'd had to get a new head... also discovered last week that my crank was cracked(not visible to the eye had it magnaflux tested) so I ordered a Manley Billet crank, and got a new head as well. Hoping to have the car back this week WITH dyno sheets, however last time i said that nothing good happened
Updated 12/12/12
3 months after my last update, I huge one... After 900 miles of my new build, on 9/29/12 the car jumped timing... resulting in tearing it down, and rebuilding, currently the car is under going ANOTHER rebuild... this time with Coated CP Pistons and GSC valves. I destroyed my previous pistons and valves. Figured I'd try something new this time...
Build should be done soon with dyno results to follow.

Installed the cage this weekend

Hey everyone,
Small backstory..
I've been on here doing my own thing for a good while, I got this car about a year ago, had some tasteful mods, but also some that really needed some attention. So after about 8 months I blew a spark plug, leak down tested and compression tested and my results were not the best, car still performed like it did on day one but on paper it looked terrible... still put down 297hp/320tq on a mustang dyno with the head issues. at 25psi on 93.
In any case, I had the mind set, and motivation of my close friends of "while you're/we're in there..." or "might as well..." turned into a lot of orders from MAP and parts gathering... so I'm doing it big, and doing it right.

Along the way we discovered some issues... previous owner used 2 gaskets on my exhaust manifold gasket...
as well as this when we pulled the valve cover to see how it looked....
-image removed-
Wtf is that on the cam? some sort of sealant?
another fun gem we found was this interesting( to say the least) downpipe...
(3'' test pipe with a burnt plastic bag welded to a stock down pipe hammered and ground down with a half missing thermal wrap)
-image removed-
As it sits now, motor is still in it, had a hell of a time getting the passenger side axle out.. now we need a slide hammer to continue, so we wrapped it up here..
its much cleaner now but this is pretty much where we ended...
And... Its out
Goes to the shop this week for the rebuild!
-image removed-
I'll have more pictures up as the week goes on, motor should be out in a day or two
Off to the shop, this wagon rocks, so glad i bought it ha.

Yeah Mike will be at my place for the prime, and first start up. Get a base map, then do the typical break in. Once that is all set, we'll do a mid-range tune for daily, then do an aggressive tune for some big power. Planned on dual maps for this one Trending Topics
parts list updated. motor will be back this week!!! e85 stations just started showing up in the area... this could be bad... can also mean I need to switch my fueling
Thanks man

Wanted to keep it more stock appearing turbo wise, as well as MA has been hassling people for big turbo's lately apparently, so I didnt want to have to deal with that :/ However, a FF turbo kit is still on my "want" list
sorry bout that. I'll get them edited when I get home from work.
