my evo x build
as I've stated earlier, dumb idea to run H-beams when you have so much torque. Might as well spill water in your intake and hope for a gain in 50 hp. Make sure you get I beams next time around. 700 bucks saves you 8 grand

u 100% right but its too late 9000$ in the drain...
H beam rods are pretty much useless for our cars, might as well stick to stock. You have two windows in your block because your rod(s) snapped. Don't blame Manley, blame yourself for picking the wrong part and not doing research. (I wouldn't buy H beam rods for any car with a turbo)
The breakage was nothing to do with being an 'H' beam, it was due to being a low quality rod, from a company with little or no quality control, using poor forgings which can have internal flaws. Thus the breakage happening at low revs when the rod was new.
And you've stated incorrectly again, as you stated incorrectly before!

There is a direct correlation between H beams and motors with windows in them. There's a great blown motor thread over on the other forum and the common denominators are too much torque on stock rods and too much torque on H beams. There are rods from Manley, Carillo and a few others in there that have let go.
I agree that an H beam from another company with better products will perform admirably, but the I beams do tend to last longer on the 4B11T.
I personally went with Pauter rods on my build and would never touch Manley, even with Paulekas' dick.
ok so the car will be done next week here some pic for the engine... block was built by erl strickly modified doing all the work
