If anyone wants to follow the Engine Build progress you can do so by this link https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...7302897&type=3

Right now all that was done is, I checked line bore for straightness, checked main bores for roundness, and checked clearances with bearings in.

Next step is, it goes to the machine shop to get bore/hone with tq plate with the studs hes using, hot tank, etc.

Then I will do the rest once I get it back.

The motor Tom has that he is building me is a new block I acquired. I am going with a fresh block and head for 2015 and so on!

There was no catastrophic failure with my old one if that's what you are wondering. The old one was parted out (long boring story that I am not getting into on the forum).

I got the head back today from John at Whalen Speed R&D. Great guy to work with.

Mirror finish deck, valve job, and oil drain mods. This head also consists of Kiggly high pressure valve springs, kiggly HLA, and GSC S3's. Gaskets and such also came. The only major thing left is the block and then she'll be ready to make some JAM!

I have also re-acquired my old JDM rear bumper. The person I sold it to parted out his car, and of course I had to get it back.

...come spring i'll be starting the garage reno (insulation, drywall, paint, and epoxy floors)

Have fun with the garage reno. I have been working on mine on and off over the last few months. Ran natural gas as well as (2) 1-1/2" conduits from the basement of my house to my detached garage. Installed (2) Mr. Heater MH25NG radiant heaters. Electric is next so I can actual weld out there. Once electric is done I'll be doing insulation, drywall, paint, and new lighting.

I highly recommend the heaters if you don't have heat out there yet! 99.9% efficient and require zero electricity. I got tired of the fumes from my torpedo heater.

Thank you everyone! The block is at the machine shop now so that should be ready pretty soon.

I should also be getting my stuff back from the powdercoater any day!
