Just Another 2.4L Black Combo
Well I figured the time has come to make a thread and post some pics for everyone.
Here's the car as it sat before. I ran a best of 12.0 @ 117. 93/meth and my own tune on evo 9 turbo and 30psi.

So it's a 4G64 Block machined here in RI by Russ Johnson Engine Service. The head was also machined there as well. As well as both block and head being assembled for me to bolt together.
The block consists of a manley forged 100m crank, howard's racing rod's, wossner piston's.

I should also point out I ported the head myself while I was in school for my ase certification's. The head has Power Enterprise HM HG, All Super Tech Dual Valve Springs, Ti Retainers, Nitrided Valves Intake and Exhaust Stock size, and ARP A11's to clamp it all down. Also had Russ do another valve job on it. So its like a 5 angle instead of a 3 now. So well see what happens anyway. Im not one for doing things the same or having it done for me.

While I did graduate I am not a mechanic but continued to just keep building houses to fund my projects. lol. Houses like this is normal for me...just to cut it up a bit.
This house take us about 3 weeks to frame and do all windows and doors with about 6 guys. Its probably around 8000 sq ft.

I like to buy any tools I need as I go and do things on my own like I said. So I bought a blasting cabinet and I blasted all the parts and bolt before install and then ran them through the dish washer.

From there I have all the front case and what not bolted up and torqued.

Need to port match my intake and exhaust manifold. They are both ported but to stock head ports. So I just need to open them up a bit before I torque them on.

From there I have some parts laying about waiting to be installed as well. Like the MAP 3' dp o2 eliminator, Spark Tech COP, Fidanza Adj Cam Gears, PE Kevlar Timing Belt. FR Vertical Flow Intercooler, FP Black, BR licp, TTR, UICP /w Sychronic bpv. Also have a toxic fab ti cam shield waiting and I also have the front bumper latch kit. Will most definitely be getting more products from them most definitely. I blasted the cover of the black as you can see as well. Forgot to add I have a Competion Twin also.

and some new shoes Rota P45r 18x9.5 35mm Offset. Going to put some 275/35's on them.

That's about it really. I'm waiting on cam's still and I need to finish my wiring harness once i have everything together. I pulled it and stripped and labeled it. I want to buy a second used harness so i can make sure everything is right before I finalize and shrink rap it all. lol.

Thanks guys and to you Collin for the sick products and work. As for the house deal Ive been doing it for long enough. lol. I make good money but it's not my passion. My father own's the company and I run the crew. We probably still build around 40-50 houses a year with a 5-6 guy crew. Not counting remodeling jobs we do here and there. When times were good we used to be getting in the 100's.
Im looking to paint the block with this POR stuff. I dont have the head torque down yet so i can throw a piece of card board in between and paint it on. Supposedly you brush it on and it comes out like glass. Still undecided as to what color im going to do the block and valve cover. Once the car is running im getting it sprayed a white but keeping the engine bay black.

Well here in RI only close place with E85 is next to Dyno Tech Tuning in Seekonk. Im about 25 mins from there. So not really feasible to run daily.
I have a labontes isg-3 meth kit still and will just run pump meth daily and e85 at the track. Might get a big fuel reservoir to fill and keep in the garage too i've been thinking.
I am obviously hoping for some good number's but I don't really want to say a number. What ever it ends up making it makes. I'm pushing it from the get go also. No break in bull. Oil will be changed a few times after start up but that's it. lol.
I want to make what ever I can and then try and master the car at that level and go race it. I plan on doing 1/4 mile for sure but i really want to get into some other events as well. So I have been trying to reduce the weight buy some new brake rotors and what not. All in time though. My pocket's aren't that deep at all. lol.

Thanks man. No work for me today. So I decided to organize my wiring mess a little better.

I totally removed the engine harness from the fuse panel to the ecu and de-loomed it, labeled, and de-tangled it all. Now I just need to get my engine bolted together along with the tranny and I'm going to re-wire it while it's out.

Do yourself a favor coming from someone with a very similar setup, ditch the Fidanza and get an AEM or HKS. The teeth don't perfectly match the belt. I had my exhaust cam since a tooth on startup once. I was lucky I didn't bend my valves.

Hmm... Well that suck's. I planned on timing and degree-ing the motor with the cams.
I honestly don't even want to use them but I wasn't sure on the other trick to use the stock cam gear's i seen.
I am using a 4g63 timing belt so would i be able to use the stock cam gears still and do what ever it is I have to do to use them ?

Ill do that and check them out. Ill take your word anyway. So it seems I have to new paper weights.
I wont rightly sell them to anyone else knowing they don't even fit. I just don't see how Fidanza or a shop would sell them knowing they don't work. That's 200$ I'm out now I'm sure you know.

Well I'm waiting to get some POR-15 in and I've been straightening out my wiring mess still.
I did want to share a photo of that same house I posted in the first post. This time its about 4 or 5 years later and all finished. Couldn't get the back yet for a pic to pic comparison seeing they weren't home to be strolling into their yard. lol.
