the skunk2 is nothing special though. the ams f1i and magnus v5 will blow it out of the water.

for ease of installation though nothing beats the stock ported.

all my cars before the evo were red. seeing this red evo done up just right makes me want mine to be red. looks good man. the fp black is a very fun turbo you'll love it.

The STM Skunk 2.....the one that made more power than the Magnus and AMS as far as I know.

it doesnt matter which im is best because his budget only allows him to run a stocker...as a side note the motor was finally picked up and pics will follow shortly!

no offense to them, but i call BS on a skunk2 out flowing a magnus or a f1i.

where is the testing on this? there is no way it outflowed either the f1i or magnus v5 those are top tier manifolds.

the only manifold i can think off the top of my head that can compete with those is the DI or something equiv, which cost big $.

I will eventually go to a magnus, ran into some financial issues so I'm going to run a recirc o2. My intentions now are to get a reliable tune and car with a decent power range. I eill go to a Magnus im, o2 dump, ETS fmic, and the s3's to see how far I can go on pump. Aaron thinks 500 will be a stretch on pump, I hope he can prove himself wrong. Ha

I think 500 on pump should be doable with an FP black and a 2.4, i put down 510 on pump with my 2.4 LR on 93 @ 30 psi, with Manley 9:1 compression pistons, ported head and GSC S2 and a Kinugawa 25G turbo still with stock intake manifold and throttle body and exhaust manifold, so you should have no problem hitting 500 on pump gas, imo of course.

I think when FIC says that they mean when you remove the injectors during an install or re-install and set them on the bench. You don't want them to rust so they have proper handling instructions. I don't believe they meant when storing the car. Mines sat in the garage for >4 months before with 2150's and E98.

Rickys been slacking on updates so i guess ill update with a couple pics.

he picked up the motor from the machine shop, that was quite a frustrating experience overall haha

started cleaning stuff up and found a couple rocker arms that have had better days

the old motor moved alot of metal which made its way into the head, got alot of copper coming out of the lifters so we decided to play it safe and invest in a new set of those as well.

and this is where its at right now

Fred: you're welcome to them when the time comes.

I went with FIC 1450's and Gsc lifters. Should be here Thursday. Then get the car buttoned up.

I'm not slacking....

Since I don't have a whole lot of updates one of the cooler things I've done with my car is my fiberglass enclosure. I didn't like my trunk getting a use box, nd making the SSL box fit my 10" and sound decent seemed daunting especially because I wanted a ported box. So I made my own with a good buddy of mine. I should say he made it and I help

This was after the trunk was taped off and the resin and fiberglass had been layed and dried.

We then removed the tape in the car put down the mold and cut it to height size

Then made a ring, layed cloth, brushed the resin on and carpeted the box

We then cut out the ported ring, and inserted a (can't remember but think) 2" by 8" PVC pipe to port the box and installed the sub. Finished result and sounds great.

Once the car is running again I do plan to recarpet my trunk and get a new particle board so it fits better.

Look at what came in the mail yesterday

My car is actually at Steve's house, reactionevo8, this weekend were hoping to get the car back together. This being said, I hope no additional issues arise.

As of now, this is how the motor sits.

Over the last few days the head was completed, motor was timed and put in the car. Nothing much more has come up aside from fabricating the bracket for the oil cooler and the intake. I have a 4" silicone intake from FP. Seems like the recirc port is directly where the radiator hose is. Anybody else run into that issue?

Here's a couple photos from this last week.

Motor in.

Turbo bolted up along with the rest of the bay; aside from radiator.

Finished wiring the gauges.

Very little left to do. Hopefully reactionevo and I will have it finished tonight.
