2004 Lancer converted Evo 8

So I caught the evo bug and love the look of them but I don't do the payment things and not bout to drop a guap on a real evo so yes I know it'll never be a real evo. I have some built imports and I'm a mechanic by trade and buy and sell cars when business is slow. I ran across this lancer that went off road and the front end was in need of repair so that's how this project started....

After rounding up the parts list new and used:
Radiator support
Evo 8 front & rear bumpers
Bumper brackets
Fender braces
hid mr headlights
vis carbon hood
Fiberglass vented fenders
sub frame n rack n pinion
lower control arms
Trunk lid
18" bbs knock offs
K&n cold air intake
High flow test pipe

The worst part was not knowing exactly how to do it properly and misleading info but now it's turning out to looking good. I did do the oven thing to seperate the headlights to black them out. I thought the trunk would swap but now know I need some 0203 lancer taillights to get them lining up. Just found that out today which sucks cause I don't want to fuse the lancer and evo rear bumper together till I make sure they'll match up to the tails. The fenders still need massaging. I know I'll never get fiberglass again. Never ever has good fitment should of known better but good god I didn't know evo parts would be so expensive and hard to get.

Anxious see the look of the evo

Boring rear

the longer and wider front, buffing half the hood

The light wiring was easy once I found a fsm n spliced into the old harness

04 tails not working

Bumper mending in progress

It's looking a bit tacky right now with the purple lip, white, red door jams but still under construction. Started painting it the color of the rims with some house of color Galaxy Gray. Found some Audi side skirts that's the same length going to make them work. Cutting the front springs. And going to add some garage door vinyl weather stripping to the front sides and rears so it'll look like its on the ground. Lol.
