VIII MR 2.2LR from the other side of the pond

Just been reading some of the build threads on here, some lovely cars/projects so I thought I'd share mine from the UK

It's been a long process but should be completed very soon...

I'll start with a quick spec list,


Car is a VIII MR

Engine,
Short block,

2.2L 94mm throw billet crank
R&R 153mm pro billet I-beams with ARP 625 rod bolts
CP X-forged pistons
Cosworth bearings throughout
ARP mains
H11 headstuds
Cosworth head gasket
Tomie windage plate/scrapper
Fluid Ampr crank pulley
Custom block breathers


Head,
Full C&C big valve head with 5 angle seats etc,
Ferria 1mm+ comp+ valves
Ferria beehive springs
Ferria Ti retainers
Ferria bronze valve guides
Ferria high temp stem seals
Ferria locks
Jun 272 cams
HKS pullies


Turbo,cooling,inlet

HTA 3582 kit with zircotec coating to manifold,hotside and elbow
HKS Kansai inlet manifold
S90 throttle body
Garret cored 3.8 inch intercooler with 3 inch pipework

Fueling,

DW300 intank
044 inline
ID 1000 injectors
HKS rail
Sard FPR (set at 4 bar base pressure)
braided lines


Transmission,
5speed box from a VI GSR, rebuilt with Ricardo output shaft, ISF micro polishing, cryo treatment, mods to improve internal oiling, mods to improve spline wear etc,
RS rear diff rebuilt with rearranged plates for optimal lock-up
RS prop
Standard ACD

Suspension/handling,

Ohlins R&T dvf
Whiteline adj rear anti roll bar
mix of ralliart and oem bushes
set up for fast road/track

Wheels/brakes

Advan RS-D 18x9 et 25 in matte black
Ap's all round
cp5555 with PF 2 piece rotors on front
cp5108 with dba 3000 at rear
XP10 pads all round



Other bits,

Sparkteck pro14 cdi kit
AEM gauges, boost, oil temp, water temp and oil pressure
Vipec v44/v88 hybrid ecu
Koyo rad
White SFS hoses
Carbon effect VII rocker cover
HKS SQV
NGK AFX (afr)
ARP exh studs
ralliart thermostat and rad cap

Cheers buddy,

Turbo kit was put together by "Ross Sport", a uk trader on MLR(uk forum)

It's a HTA 3582, with a tial .82 housing, tial ext wastegate, and a JMF v-band manifold, comes with 4" intake, filter, all lines and a v-band flange for existing 3" downpipe.
The zircotec coating was an extra.


TBH though, if I could start again would go full race/EFR route....
