I bought my Evo about 3 months ago and am excited to document the build on here. I started off by taking it to English Racing:

They did the 90k maintenance
Installed a Walbro Fuel Pump
Installed a Boost Controller
Installed a lower intercooler pipe
and tuned it

The final numbers are:

Before tune:
240 hp
259 torque

After tune:
269 hp
287 torque

I plan on doing the following mods in the future:

AMS turbo back exhaust
Perrin Performance Intake
GSC Power Devision S1 Cams
AMS frontmount intercooler
Fortune Auto Coilovers
Advan Racing RGII Wheels

It is currently my DD. I am planning on turning it into my track car, maybe even rally cross

The EVO 8/9 has always made me thing about a fighter jet.

I would also say add a ported evo9 turbo on the list. I loved my 9 turbo! Otherwise list looks good!

A local forum member hooked me up with a DC downpipe and Perrin Test Pipe. I drove down to English Racing for another tune. The Evo was missfiring. Within minutes Aaron diagnosed the problem, replaced the coils and wires and started tuning! I picked up 10whp for a total of 279whp and 298tq

Yes its still running the original transfer case

Its a build, and my goals are to maximize the cars potential in speed and handling. The style of Evo 8s and 9s also remind me of fighter jets.

I do want to take flying lessons eventually, and am planning on trying both prop planes and helicopters.

New updates:

- SRS Catback Exhaust
- Front Slotted StopTech Rotors
- Front EBC Redstuff Pads
- Kumho Ecsta 4X tires
- Nokya Yellow Fog Lights
- LED interior/license plate LED lights

I took the Evo on an 800 mile road trip from Seattle Washington to Baker City Oregon and it did awesome!
