May have gone overboard......

So i have a 2008 Evo X with ~50K miles on it. I've decided it was time to either get a new car or do something more with the X. So i picked up a 2nd car as a DD and put in an order to MAP.

Car is under the knife right now. going to go through a few iterations before all the parts go on and get tuned. I won't be trying to break any power goals. Wingz performance is putting it together.

I just want a really fun and well put together car to enjoy. Hoping this will be semi-quite and have a fat power band. I'll get some video when it is complete

Thanks, I'm looking forward to it.

For those too lazy to get around the forum image resizing.. it is a 2.4L block with an EF4 setup.

Supposed you didn't build the 03 and keep the X as a daily. 2.4 liter Motors rock!

Eventually i plan to use the 03 as a track car. But that is a ways off.. It already has a 2.3L & FP Black in it. I'd need to purchase a truck before that happens. so probably wont be this year. Kinda already spent as much as i want to on cars this year. haha

Yeah, I'll keep everybody posted.. Hoping the engine should be in this next weekend. But without all the extra goodies. Should be until probably this time next month before it is complete.

Which one do you like better overall? There is much debate over which is better. You will have very similar builds on both chassis's so you will be a good person to ask.

Well, I'll have to compare more when the X is complete. But as far as Evo8 vs EvoX? Stock vs Stock the evo8/9 is a better car IMO. But i prefer the exterior looks of the X.

One of the reasons i decided on the 2.4L was i want some more low end torque. The X can be a bit of a dog until you get it rolling. Especially with the AC on.

The evo8 is having idle issues with the AC on. it is kinda hard to judge right now how it feels from a start. But with the AC Off it has tons of torque. I am going to use evoscan tomorrow to set the BISS and maybe muck with the ISCV settings. See if i can get the idle sorted out with AC on.

Phuong from wingz performance is doing the tune. He pretty much does all the E85 cars in phoenix.
