I noticed you said the wpc treatment is a waste because it 'wore' off after the first 100 miles, however WPC is not a coating and therefore it doesn't ware off so to speak. If you want to talk about waste of money though your chamber coating is probably already long gone.

Build looks awesome otherwise though, hopefully it all performs to task.

I was wondering about that comment as well. Could it be that the treatment is so shallow that it kind of disappears with a bit of wear? I was hoping to WPC treat a few parts on my next build. But that comment has me wondering if its not worth it now.

The issue is that I actually took a video of spinning a valve tappet on top of another right after I got it back from WPC, and the WPC treatment made a large difference in the reduction of friction.

However, I did the same thing a few days ago with the same exact tappets after 4k miles on them (they look identical now with 4k miles on them as they did with 100 miles on them), and they spun for as long as untreated tappets do.

Thank you!

I never went to school for engineering, but I have a feeling I would be good at it if I did

Not sure, but I will find out the cross weights and f/r weights when I corner balance it this spring.

Aha! Now I know who's 4B11 heads were in line before mine at Tom's shop! I had a set of Ford domestic V8 heads getting beryllium seats and the nNexen treatment done. Tom does fantastic work. As for the WPC and wasting money, at least you can see the treatment. I've done the cryo route with everything...no visible difference. Just faith and no more money.
