Talking Evo X 2.2 Manual - GTR killer

Good morning guys,

long time stalker first time poster, so I thought it would be time to share my X off to you guys. I bought her back in 13' and only done a few bolt on mods as we all do! making around 285awkw on e85 [I'm Aussie, we use kw rather than hp here], it was a nice and quick daily at the time but I think as we all do, we get bored of the power and we chase something more.. here she is back in 14'

I always wanted to build a monster car, and even though I probably could of just built a REALLY quick GTR [34, 33, 32, Sorry to all the American lads, those cars are a dime a dozen here in Australia!] I wanted to be unique and build a quick ten. Here in Australia, there's hardly any quick tens, and only 3 or 4 you'll remember after seeing them, and even those have only come out of 1 or 2 shops here, so a very small community.

So here's my build list so far [now chances are I'll definately forget a few bits and pieces this is off the top of my head guys!]

***********************************

Now she hasn't seen the rollers yet, so I can't give you guys a power figure, but we're really hoping to see just above 600awkw [800awhp], but who knows what kind of power she'll make, and as you guys can tell by the build list, she's still rocking a completely stock driveline, so when she does come back we're gonna just run gate pressure which is still 21 pound and we're pretty confident it will be well into the 400awkw region [540awhp].. I'm 'um-ing and ah-ing about doing 1 full power run [40 psi] to see what she's got in her, but my fear for the box is quite high for now.. I want her to survive a few months before I can fork out the coin for the dog engagement set and ra diff. But I guess only time will tell..

Here's some [out of the hundreds] of build photos I have for you guys

I hope you guys love it as much as I do!

Super nice build and attention to detail.

Love the intake shielding but that filter is going to be too small for you intended power goal

You think so? I didn't think the actual pod would bottle neck the 4" intake. I may be wrong, it's all I can fit there, I may perhaps need to route it down to the wheel arch..

Man, super sick build!
I'm also very jealous how R34's, R33's and R32's are a dime a dozen down there...

As for the above statement, I'd have to agree!
Here's an air filter size calculator for you.

Haha yeah man, I've built this car for a roll racing even we have here every month at our local raceway, the even has been going now for just over 2 years I believe, out of the 24 or so events held, 20 events have been taken by skylines. No Evo has won as of yet, but 2 CT's have placed 2nd twice. The thing about owning a 800whp GTR here is the fact you're just another Tom, Dick or Harry with a high HP GTR, they're absolutely everywhere and nothing special anymore. It's only when you come across a built 34 that you get excited. But even those are starting to become common. A bloke I know is building a 1800whp 34 [or attempting to] He's running a GTX55 gen 2, so should be interesting!

And unbelievably bad car laws. Most modified car owners are treated like murderers here. I'm that worried about a cop popping my bonnet I've removed so much carbon from the car, like the canards also removed all the stickers/door banners/tyre writing etc so I don't draw attention. It's so bad. But yeah, ALOT of performance shops here.. Multiple per suburb/town.

Thanks dude! I wanted something a little different to just a standard top mount, and being a RHD, all the standard kits from the states don't fit due to the column, so it was a tough choice, and the fabrication cost an arm and a leg, but it definately looks the part, hopefully we don't lose too much response due to placement, but I guess we find out soon!
