Evo2 build from New Zealand

Hey guys it’s been awhile since I’ve been in here, got a new project on the go between working on customers cars it’s a 1994 evolution 2 building a new engine for it as we speak the specs are below.
Engine:
4g63
50thou oversized pistons
factory rods
acl pistons
oem factory crack
kelford 264 exhaust and intake cams
oem rod bolts and gasket kit
turbonetics turbo (can’t remember the specs)
44mm tial wastegate
steampipe manifold

Nice evo 2 !! What does going 50 thous over take Engine to, is it still a two liter?

cheers man, not to sure just got recommended to do it as there was marking in the bores

It would put it around 2003.4cc instead of the 1997.4cc stock displacement. It's still very much a 2.0 Liter engine.

Bit of a update,
just had my adjustable cam gears and arp cam gear bolts turn up so I can finally time up my engine

Another update hope it’s works this time and it didn’t the other night .
I just got my car back from storage so I’ve been getting stuck into it. Had to torque my cams down and bit the cam seal , colour coded my rocker cover and waste gate, had to replace one of the new cam seals because the sprint cam out of it and didn’t realise till after I installed the seal , lucky I have friends at the local Mitsubishi dealer

Got the water pump on now after my genuine bolts turned up from japan, also got my gas tank seal done

Found out I had a walbro pump

Water pump bolts from Mitsubishi

Bit of a update just got all new intake and exhaust manifold studs , finally gotta new clutch setup , finally got the engine in , Now I got a month off for isolation since New Zealand is in full lockdown at the moment.


New genuine gear knob for a evo2

Covid-19s been good to my car as I’ve had time to work on it.
all though not to much has happened, I’ve just fitted up the water pipe that goes around the block on and got my wastegate back together and I fitted up the exhaust manifold and turbo up to the engine. Now the task of trying to get my compressor housing to sit where I want it to for the intercooler piping

im in Hamilton which it’s about 2 hours from Auckland Central , where abouts where you?

Started out in Auckland, then I went to Queenstown, Wanaka, and Nelson!
