Honestly idk. I am going to have them look at that. I wanted them to cut the wg line off and reweld it at a different angle but they put the engine in the car instead.
Brad is off this next week so I won't know till after the holiday.

Update:

Well today I got some good news and some doh news. Mandi called me and said the car is completely back together. Only thing that is not on the car is the forward facing ac unit which came yesterday, and fittings for my catch can. Girl who replaced Mandi ordered the wrong fittings and are not correct. The car is scheduled to start maybe Monday depending if Brad gets the engine apart he is working on while he is waiting on my parts. Technically they don't need the ac unit to start the car but the fittings for the catch can are kinda needed I guess. More updates coming on Tuesday.

I actuallly wanted to comment on this a little more. A full size thin rad would fit, a full size thin rad with a fan will not. They are going to burp the system on Monday, remove the stock condenser, and put a brushless Spal 12 inch fan as a pusher and see if it over heats at idle. If it doesn't there going to button it up and I am guessing take it for a short ride. I know it will not overheat while driving its just at idle I worry about. Once they get the car where it is happy they are going to put the new forward facing condenser in and hopefully either give it back or break it in somehow.

Update:

Well things are getting done. I have some new pics for you guys to look at. One thing I did get an email on is my ac condenser leaves even less room for a fan. I told Mandi I said you must not have read the whole email about it being I wanted it on the passenger side. Shes like ooh makes since. So Brad is going to move it over and I will have him just leave it being I am not sure the lines will work. I will have to have him measure them and give me lengths so I can get them made. I can't wait to get it back and give it a bath and take care of some of that rust up front.

Thank you and yeah it is a beast. Looking forward to hearing it start for the first time as well. If they take a video of that I will be sure to post it.

Update:

Well I just got an email from Mandi saying that Brad has been busting *** to get the car done and finished. He did not like the fan I was using so he ordered a different Spal fan that is thin that should fit on the rad and clear my fmic. She said it will arrive on Tuesday and the car is scheduled to start up and have its first oil change.

Update:

Well today I got word that the car is finished. Well almost, I had a brand new battery when I took it out to them and now the battery is completely dead and will not take a charge. So now I am playing games with Autozone and they are going to drop a new battery off at the shop and the car will fire up. More coming in the next few days I will keep everyone informed.

Killing the battery is a pet peeve of mine. I'd be pissed, they know the car is sitting. How hard is it to pull the negative, or throw a tender on it? What shop doesn't have a spare battery lying around that they can use to keep your project moving forward. Sounds like a load of B.S. to me.

Yeah I wasn't very happy about that. Thankfully I have 2 more weeks before the battery is out of warranty and I had to pull some **** to get autozone to get one to there location and to the shop. I am going to replace the pc925 anyways and use it as a back up. It is going to die in a week anyways so I am replacing it with a Braille b3121. Much better battery and it doesn't lose charge in few days if I don't drive the car. But yeah I wasn't happy about the battery being dead being it was in the car a week before I took it down to the shop.

One thing I am not happy with was they want me to buy a 300 dollar Haltech wideband setup now. They said they weren't sure if the Zeitronics stuff will work with the Haltech. I was like it worked when I brought the car to you. I mean sure the newer stuff will log faster and be more responsive when in use but still. I am to the point I have 0 budget left. Then I got a bill for 2600 bucks after paying in full all but 63 dollars and that kinda upset me. I knew I had a bit of a balance but not that much. I am going to have to talk to them about this being there some questions I would like answered. I get Mandi only works a couple days a week but fabbing stuff like a lower ic pipe when it wasn't in the budget kinda pissed me off. I mean if its needed ok but keep me in the loop. That is the only ***** I have right now is how long it sat there and stuff being done and me not being in the loop.

Another thing I really don't like is the 1500 miles I have to put on the motor before I get a full tune. What happened to 80 to a 100 miles of easy vacuum driving and let it rip? I wanna talk to Corey about this, but idk if he will talk to me about it. I mean its there motor and all and I get it, but its the point I have to miss a day of work to get the car, drive it 1500 miles and then miss another day of work to get it tuned. I am almost out of vaca time and I still have the shootout to go. Sorry not bashing the shop just a little frustrated by everything right now and my stupidity in this car.

1500 miles break in??? what are we breaking in here lol.. I'm in the new age that these precision motors only 'break-in' the piston rings and that happens quite quick and even better under heavy load. Break it in how you plan to drive it. But good luck arguing that with a shop.
