Front wheel drive to AWD

Hey everybody, I have a 2014 Mitsubishi Lancer front wheel drive and I got the wild idea to make it into a evo. But I’ve ran into a problem on finding all wheel drive parts, along with transmissions. Have any of you ever tried to do this before???

For the amount of time and money you would spend to make this a reality, just go buy an evo.

Is it doable? Sure, anything is doable with enough budget and time but at the end of the day it will be a weird car that isn't worth what you'll have in it.

I mean I'll say the same thing lol. Could you do it? Sure, given enough time, money and knowledge you could do it but the question is why?

It would be a pretty big lift to flip the engine 90 degrees and make room for the transmission but there is kind of a proof of concept for this. Buscher Racing did something like this but used the 4g63 in an evo 9 flipped to longitudinal mount and RWD.
At least doing this would end up with a unique car.

If you do it, post a build thread! It would be a cool project to follow!

sometimes just buying an Evo doesn't satisfy you
