my only suggestion would be take your time bro! I rushed things one time trying to make it before leave to jersey and that ended very badly for me... lol I spent all my deployment money on a build and now im deployed again but making no money because the marine corps sucks and i'm pretty much TAD to another country... the most disappointing thing is my car is just sitting in my garage waiting for me :(

home is amazing, beer is delicious, the marine corps has blessed me with an awesome home coming gift- pft tomorrow...:crap: {offtopic} ok so the car is still in the hobby shop, had some trouble getting that trans back on with the tcase still in the car (pulled off to the side) so i just took it out by prying the block foward and some good wiggling:D once we connected the trans. the t-case was no problem to shove right back in there. after the entire day ordeal, we finally started to get the ball rolling. pretty much everything is on now except for the turbo/mani and the radiator, and some small stuff here and there. car will be done tomorrow, all i can say is thank god for the vast variety of tools the hobby shop has in their tool room!{thumbup} so since im behind schedule, im just gonna have tom give me a base tune to get me home then we will do the power tuning in fl. pretty stoked. i will update with pics soon, ive just been really busy -merica:usflag::beer: |
if youre talking about the hobby shop on lejeune, i did a clutch on my buddies evo and they had a bet on how long it would take us. they didnt think it would drive out cus some boot ****ed one up apparently. but if they had the three nuts welded to a bolt to use with a slap hammer for the intermediate shaft then you're welcome! lol

Congrats
Hey congrats from a former fellow jarhead still in the Stan waiting to get home to my parts. My wife says I only deploy to buy EVO parts. HMMMMMM
Anyway Hey be careful when putting the tranny back in the throw out bearing can messed up real easy and eventually destroy all your hard earned stuff. Also Be careful with that clutch on an FP Black I have a lot of guys that put way to big a turbo on an clutch that cant handle the torque of such a good turbo. Just my advice well at least its just clutch instead of a tranny or TC. Have fun!!! Do they still have that club outside the front gate? I think it was called Wood something. Godspeed SSG Brian Redding :usflag: |

is there any other reason to deploy? lol stay safe man, my buddy just hit an 80 pounder luckily him and everyones alright. and yes the driftwood is still there, distributing hepatitis and blue balls evenly to all the new joins!
 ^^^ thanks for the advice guys. So the car is Pitt back together, feels good. Needs an in depth tune bad. But tom hooked me up with something that will get me home for now. All i can say right now is, going from the stock clutch to Stg 3, lightweight flywheel,ss clutch line, AND taking the restrictor out in the slave cylinder is absolutely night and day...lol. I feel like an evo boot trying to drive around in this thing! I'll get used to it in time, but everything is going well so far. Break in time!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...:banghead: |
