FS: Ripp Mods Supercharger kit for 02-03 Lancer
FS: Ripp Mods Supercharger kit for 02-03 Lancer
I'm selling my RIPPmods supercharger system for the 02-03 manual lancer. Asking $700 shipped to the U.S.
Included are:
--blower and drive shaft
--piggyback injector on the elbow pipe
--blow-off valve
--fuel pressure regulator
--RIPP black box piggyback ecu with tuning software and cable
--BRAT box piggy piggyback, which acts as a voltage clamp to turn off the check-engine light
--Meth/water injection system
--various hoses
--belt tensioner
--installation instructions
Parts that are missing:
--Fuel pump (so you need to get a Walboro 255)
--aluminum pieces that hold the stock tensioner bolt in place. These are very small rectangular pieces that bolt on to the pulley assembly. You can check with Ripp to see if they get you some, or you need to have them fabricated.
--wires and harness that hook the meth controller to the pump. Ripp most likely has these available
--possibly various bolts, vac lines and hoses (these can be obtained anywhere)
Finally, the 4 main injectors were damaged by my $#%$# mechanic when he took the kit off of the car. The pic below is a grainy, but you should be able to see how the tips are bent. I don't know much about injectors but I would guess that this means that they aren't usable. So you need to get new injectors (310cc).
I paid over $4500 for all of this, and I'm asking $700 shipped. Why so cheap? Well, there are a couple of reasons. First, there are missing parts. Second, I want it out of my sight. Finally, while I have done my best to check that all the remaining pieces are there and functional, I can't guarantee that I haven't overlooked something. This means that **the buyer assumes the risk.** I can give you a refund if there is something wrong with the blower, but otherwise I can't guarantee the other parts.
Because there is so much to this kit, I strongly recommend that you hook your car up to a wbo2 sensor before driving it. Because this kit is very rare, you should have a fair amount of mechanical knowlege (or know someone who does). Ripp no longer makes this kit, and while they do not provide official support, Ross will answer questions if you call and ask to speak with him.

You probably have to include those extra parts to make a complete kit before someone's gonna bite. Sounds like a sweet deal though. If it was a complete kit that I knew would work I'd shell out a grand, but there's a lot of if's, and I'm not what you call technically savvy with **** like this
Good luck with the sell though man

When I was originally shopping for a kit I was looking at used "complete" turbo kits, and it turns out that for the most part, after some prodding you find out that they are missing something or have some problem or other. The difference here is that I've done my best to lay it out up front what I know.
As I mentioned, having something this unique is great because it's unique, but it means that it's more of an investment because you have less of a community to answer questions.

I think it was but that was plus shipping I think.
