whats the condition of the cf hood? i would assume some clear coat is gone from rocks and such. Hood pins?

No hood pins...the hood has one minor chip in it..very good condition..

the lip is the slip over design not the replacement..

the hood was used for about 4K miles..I hardly ever drove my car so it is in very good condition..

where exactly is the chip located on the hood, obviously near the edge...but which edge?

 

will the hood accept the oem grill and vent?

 

it will accept the oem grill I had mine in there..

the chip is on the driver side near the front
