Selling a used set of HKS Hipermax III Sport coilovers. Approx. 12k miles on them. No leaks, no rust, and dust boots are still in great condition.
Stock springs are 12k front/10k rear with 30 levels of adjustment. Camber plates are included on the front struts. Also comes with everything that came inside the original box and the box itself.
Located in the Tustin/Irvine area. Local pickup only. Asking $700 obo. New was approx. $2100.
Reason for selling: upgraded to Ohlins R&T.

I haven't had a chance to really push the Ohlins yet, but the HKS Hipermax III Sport coilovers, even with the 12k/10k spring rates, still felt really neutral on my setup, while only being slightly firmer in ride quality compared to Ohlins.

I'm still on the standard recommendation of 10/10 from full stiff. Still getting a feel for it but with 10k/10k springs it feels pretty good. Fortunately for me, the Mrs. doesn't mind. She actually said she couldn't tell the difference between the 2.

hey Jimi, some FYI, you cannot rebuild the front coilovers. No replacement parts exist (atleast state side). The rear can be. Unless you contact HKS and they tell you other-wise, the fronts are done.

Dialed down to where I on the HKS, it was pretty good. Its still going to be a bit bumpy, but any coilover with stiffer springs will probably be rough. I DD'd them and it wasn't harsh to me, but I live in Orange County where the roads aren't as bad as L.A. Even in L.A. roads, still very tolerable, unless you're on really, really bad roads.
On certain roads where there's lots of roough patches, my Ohlins, on the current default settings, feel a little harsher.
