so instead of responding to me in your other thread you delete it, make a new one, and raise your price? cool...

and if you want to say your coilovers are in very good condition you should try cleaning them up a little better before uploading pictures.

GLWS.

Hi flawless, the admins deleted my post so I could not respond in time. I am sorry that they are not as clean as youd like , which part exactly of the coilovers are unacceptably dirty and preventing you from assessing the condition of the coilovers? I can try to clean that up some more . As far as the cost , I believe I far underestimated the shipping cost for them.

Cheers

Did you ever think that maybe they deleted your post because you didn't follow the forums rules for selling an item? Then you post the exact same thing with a different price and still don't follow the rules. When posting something for close to retail price, it would be nice to see a guy with hardly any posts. At least put his name tag and a time stamp with his pictures

no offense man, but those look rough! Also brand new they are 2700. I would possibly do maybe a $1000 for them because the fronts have heavy corrosion and a possible leaking seal.
Let me know.

Thanks for the info neon, I didn't know they went for 2700 new now, I paid nowhere close to that from a major shop on this forum, which was the lowest I could find. What makes you suspect they are leaking at the front? I had a mechanic inspect them and found no issues. Id like to inform him if thats the case.

cheers

No problem man, I understand. The right front one in the photos has a lot of discoloration. It looks like something was eating away, and one of the photos has what looked like dark grease. It may just be the lighting that made it look funky. Do you have more photos of the front especially around the struts and seals?

Why are the fronts so corroded when the rears look so good?

Not sure, perhaps the front strut area is more exposed to the elements. Ive had other coilovers on a different car and for some reason the front werent quite as pretty as the back after a while as well.

Price has been lowered significantly for fast sale. With regards to to the appearance of oil someone mentioned, they have been cleaned up some more. The oil is from the anti rust spray which was applied yearly, it gets everywhere and took a few passes to get off. As can be seen, the front strut surface looks rough. I can media blast it to look like new however Ohlin support mentioned that doing so would remove the anti rust plating and it would eventually rust faster. They assured me it is just cosmetic though, does not affect the function of the coilover.
