This is a really lazy way to purchase something, any DP that fits the 8 (bolts up) will fit the 9. However, any decent DP will require either bending/spacing the forward crossbar, or installing an aftermarket crossbar or brace with more clearance. a 3" DP is bigger for a reason, and that's the reason why they don't fit well.

Mhmm..... Well, I was under the impression that fitment between the the 03/04 & the 05/06 evos was different due to ACD. I have a 3" megan DP that was designed for 03/04 on my evo now, and even with the forward crossbar removed it still does not fit correctly.
AND, no where in my post did I specify 3" DP, I said ANY, and I SHOULD have said any AFTERMARKET. I figured asking for a specific make and or model of DP would have been too specific and would have gotten no hits.
I dont feel like dropping ~300 including shipping on a brand new DP, so I was seeing what was out there.
So would you mind explaining to me why this is a "lazy" way to buy something?
Ok, you make some good points about the ACD.. I thought you were just asking to buy any DP, that's what I meant by lazy. The original post wasn't very specific.. I have an Invidia TBE and the DP fit perfectly. I only had to tweak the forward crossbar (bent it just a bit) and put 1/4" of washers underneath it. I love Invidia, they make great quality exhaust parts at really low prices. (Their new O2 housing looks good, as well). If you can find an Invidia DP I guarantee it will fit well, and it's a full 3" through.
