Anyone know where I'd be able to get a windshield from, for an evo 9? I need one and dont want to get raped by the local dealer (brad benson) for all the nj peoples. K thanks.

called a local spot, and checked a few websites, but it seems like the standard lancer windshield will fit in an evo? Any advice from those who swapped out their windshield?

 

I got 2 winshields when mine broke for 297, I have the reciepts to prove it. They quoted me like 290 the first time and then when it broke again they quoted 500 and I asked why I got one for 290 that last time and they put me on hold and they came back with a price of 279.

it was also from safelite. See if that will work, I can fax the reciepts to help you out. Let me know.

Iam guessing the one they quoted you for $500 is the Evo windshield and the one you got for $297,$279 is the Lancer windshield.

 

What is thedifference between the two?

 

if you get a lancer windshield you will need to order a rearview mirrior for a lancer also

 

the dude at safelite said the windshields of the lancer/evo are the same. Got a replacement for only 250$!!! Awesome-ness! Thanks for the site Josh.

 

the evo windshield and the lancer windshield are not the same. yes they do have the same shape and they both fit in both cars perfectly, but the evo windshield is lighter than the lancer windshield.

 

yea main difference is the evo is lighter

 

yes about 2 lbs lighter for the Evo windshield

 

Sure thing dude. whoopie 2 lbs, or spend an extra 200 bucks

The other difference is the little dots where the rearview mirror is, the lancer does not have it. Who cares. I just saved 200 bucks to more parts for my car.
