Help

After coming back from Afghanistan from a year tour and thinking that I would find an EvoX for sale in the east coast was going to be easy. All I can say is WOW. From people agreeing to sell and then backing out because of their SCAM fears to the seller that never responds to a buyer request. Ive been so close to just go to the dealer and get me a new one so many times its not even funny. Then again they do not have the car I want or are complete *******s and I refuse to give my business to a ******** salesman. I dont know if I need to chill out but DAMN.

Now I know this community is awesome,I know that I only have a few post on EvoXforums,( sorry i was gone for 12 months) but Ive been a member on here for years . If anyone can help me out with some info on local dealers (NOVA) or any good people trying to sell their loved Evos. I know I should have done this first and not after 2 weeks or frustration but what can i tell you. I have a week left of vacation until I go back to work so again, If you know anyone selling their Evo and are willing to meet so we can talk/look at the car in person,Im ready. I already have my pre-approved bank check and will drive to meet you. To the car sellers out there, If you are ready to sell your car, please contact me ASAP
thanks again for your comments , thoughts and help

Good luck finding one. I agree with the sales people there. They know you are in the miltary and they know how much you get paid, so they won't strike you a deal. They want everyone to pay MSRP or above. I'm from Cali and had to help my bro who is in the military to give him a good deal. They lowered the price but not to invoice.

I sent you a message asking if we could meet at your bank to do the transaction that way your bank could send the check to my loan place and I wouldn't have to worry about a fake check. I don't see how that's being unreasonable.

I still stand by my original offer. If you want to come down during bank's business hours, and take a look, I'd feel a lot better about having them write the check then having a pre-certified check that isn't a cashier's check, and gives me no recourse. I spoke with 3 difference financial advisors about the pre-certified check, and they said it seems strange to them that you would be willing to sign 30k over to me without having a title in hand. I think they are right, with that pre-certified check neither of us are safe from a scam.

So again if you want to meet at your bank and do the deal I'm there.

i've done it before... give money without recieving the title. Just take a copy of his drivers license.

... i guess i was buying an M3 from an old guy though.. so i didn't think too much about it. He sent me the title in the mail like 2 weeks later after the check cleared.
