$40 Magnecor 8.5mm ignition wires
$40 Evo Magnecor 8.5mm ignition wires
Hello! I am finally giving up on my Magnecors and they are available for sale...BUT I stronly feel that the only way I will sell them is if we meet up in person and you throw them on your car and test drive it. Some folks swear by these, others (like me) have had problems. SO, if you are interested in picking up these wires for a big savings and seeing if they work for you please PM me and we can meet up. Got these new back on March 15th and have put about 3500 miles on them. Again, will only sell if we can meet up and you can test them to your liking. I am in San Jose (CA Bay Area), but will be in the Los Angeles area tomorrow evening. Thanks!

Nothing is "wrong" with them exactly...they just don't work out for a lot of people it seems. The basic problem with them is in the design...they fit very loose down over the plugs, but very tight on the coilpacks. The loose part allows them to move around a bit, whereas the tight part causes pressure against a secure connection. This was causing stuttering (only at WOT though) in some cases. Both problems can be worked around (securing the loose wires and using a small screwdriver to allow air to escape when seating the upper connection). I have just found that, although the gains (smoother idle and power delivery) were nice, the hassle needed to have them fit right and constant concern they will come loose wasn't worth it. They do work out really great for some people and have even been dyno-tested to show gains.
