Adding nipple to lower IC piping.....

Here's a question, I'm adding a nipple to my lower IC piping for a pressure source but was unable to locate a stainless steel one to weld on. Instead I bought one like this.

If I tap the lower IC and thread this it shouldn't leak correct? I would assume it should be ok since the egt sensor is in the exhaust manifold in the same manner and sees the same boost pressure.

Just wanting other opinions.

Thanks

Wrong forum, but I'll tell you what I did. Drill the hole, tap it (tap size determines what size hole you drill), add gasket sealer to the threads and all around the base, screw it in almost all the way (you want a "cushion" of liquid gasket), then clean up the excess. I left the cushion at about 3/16". This isn't necessary but I think it helps to create a better seal. Be gentle after since the threads are only as thick as the wall of the pipe it's not very secure.
