Curious about how much power those mods you made or parts put on really added? You can get a pretty good idea without the dyno using a Gtech. I have a Gtech Pro Competition performance meter for sale. This is a model that the manufacturer is no longer selling:

It works great as is and has all the features of the new RR (most expensive new unit) except the road race measurements feature. However, what is cool with this particular unit is that you can upgrade its firmware (operating software) with the latest 4.0 RR version software absolutely free of charge… see the manufacturers website for details at:
http://www.gtechprosupport.com/support/
Doing the free upgrade will essentially turn the unit into the latest and greatest GTech-Pro RR, which currently retails for $299.00

However, if you are not a road racer I don’t know if you’ll really care about the additional RR features.
I bought and used this unit a couple years ago while tuning a project and found the measurements it takes to be very accurate. I would use it with each pass at the drag-strip and the quarter mile times were always within a 10th of what the time-slip would measure… so pretty accurate indeed. I have a new ride that I am not fiddling with much anymore so I just don’t need this type of data acquisition capability anymore.
It will come in the original box, with all the original hardware. It does not include the Pass Software because that didn’t come with the unit when I bought it (PASS is for uploading and analyzing results on your home computer with graphs & such) however, you can just download the PASS software from the manufacturers website for free as well at:
http://www.gtechprosupport.com/support/
I am asking for $160, price includes shipping to you (will ship to address in the US only). If you have questions, or are interested please email me at:
jasonhenshaw@yahoo.com
My PayPal account also uses the same address (please contact me before making a payment).
Thanks,
Jason
